Overview
Merchant is a collection of apartments and townhomes by AVJennings in Williamstown, Victoria, designed by internationally acclaimed architects Elenberg Fraser. AVJennings wanted a sales office with an informal lounge feel — casual and comfortable, without sacrificing the quality of the presentation. A tablet-led setup lets agents run the full app from the lounge for personal conversations, flicking content to the wall display when a larger view is needed.
What We Delivered
- Surface Pro Tablet — primary sales tool running the Merchant app in the lounge setting
- 75” Display Screen — larger display for flicked content and group presentations when needed
- Interactive 3D Model — Snaploader-built 3D model for virtual exploration of apartments and finishes
- IdeaLayer Cloud — external agents access the full app from their own devices for remote sales
Outcomes
- The lounge-based setup resonated strongly with Merchant’s buyer demographic — downsizers and professionals appreciated the relaxed, conversational format over a traditional counter presentation
- Cloud access allowed off-site agents to deliver the same quality presentation as the in-suite experience
- The 3D apartment model was the most-used feature in the app, consistently helping buyers understand layout, orientation, and proximity to the water
